A: Hi Jamie, the PVC sandwich construction does additional strength is you are specifically looking for a highly durable board, of course at a super-premium price as it's a much more involved board construction. However, the Epoxy Fiberglass construction will certainly withstand the vast majority of uses. As with any construction, the board could only potentially take on water if the foam core exposed to water. With the typical uses of this type of stand up paddle board, I have not seen any such problems, but it is possible to take on water if you crack the board all the way to the foam core.

Hi Caroline, both the California Board Company 11' Bamboo Veneer Epoxy Fiberglass Stand Up Paddleboard and the California Board Company 10 Six Soft Stand Up Paddleboard
are great touring boards. You are correct that the 10 Six is a bit lighter. If you are concerned about size of the board, you may want to look at a shorter board. The10'6" to 11' size offers good flexibility for various uses. If you prefer the style of a fiberglass, hard top board, then the CBC Epoxy Fiberglass boards (including the 11' bamboo SUP) are great choices for touring.

Hi, Dan. Yes, we do carry 11 foot bags (or longer) that will work for this. You might consider the Stand on Liquid Board Bag 11'6"
for $159.00. It is 11'4" long and 32" wide, which makes it a good fit for this particular CBC board. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else.
